Great Buy of a wonderful price December 22, 2008
I purchased this price with the intent of obtaining a nice pair a shoes to do my weekend work and it has performed beautifully. THe shoe is comfortable and reliable and I would recommend it to anyone. THe price was awesome. Thanks Amazon.

Wearing it so comfortable when you are doing the running or just for the daily routine. I bought at 27 dollar which is a really good deal. BTW, half size larger will be better for you.
Great shoes December 14, 2008
I am a big fan of New Balance. These were purchased because of a sale. I know my size pretty well with these shoes so I wasn't worried about fit and I wasn't disappointed. At first, the shoes were a little stiff. But after breaking them in, they are quite comfortable. I do not run in these shoes, they are simply shoes for the gym.
 Improvement over the 1st generation Zips December 9, 2008
The NB Zip is a sturdy shoe. It does not feel soft and cushy like the 992. Instead, they feel solid and responsive. I ordered a pair of the original 8505 Zips when they first came out. That shoe is okay, but it can begin to feel stiff on long runs. The newer model 8509 has some improvements in the outsole that make it more flexible and less stiff. The Zip is a good durable shoe that will wear for a long time. If you're looking for pure comfort, choose something with more traditional cushioning. If you like solid and responsive, then this shoe is for you.

The normal great fit by NB. Depending on the sock thickness you may feel a little space in the heel. 4th Gen Zip is addictive. The spring in your step makes running fun. After nine years of Abzorb running the Zip is great 4G shoe. Buy 1/2 size larger. Currently paired with
Champion rolltop-cotton and Thorlos rolltop-THOR*LON.
Pros:*Abzorb SBS in the forefoot provides 5-10% more effective cushioning than original Abzorb with no compression set
* NB Zip controlled cushioning in heel provides durable responsiveness
* C-CAP midsole provides cushioning and support
* Removable full-length insert of ABZORB cushioning provides added comfort
Cons:finding the right sock to get shoe to fit properly. No "Tokyo at night" reflectiveness like some other NBs. See 1350.
