Definately a great helper with small stuff. August 11, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This thing has come in handy many times for me. The only thing I recommend is to mount it down permanently or mount it to a short board that you can clamp to a table or whatever to make it protable.
Keeping it in place September 8, 2000 56 out of 57 found this review helpful
The D-Vise has become one of the more useful pieces of equipment in my Dremel arsenal. Sometimes you need both hands to work the tool, and you need something to secure your crafting piece. Although I feel that just about any good vise would do an adequate job holding my work pieces, the D-Vise does have a few advantages to it that most bench vises lack: it's relatively small, and it can swivel to just about any desirable angle and elevation. One drawback is that, despite it's relatively small size, the D-Vise wasn't made to be portable. When I'm doing Dremel tool craft work at various locations, that can be a hindrance. I've gotten around this by securely mounting it to a wide, sturdy two-by-four, and when I need it, I securely vise-grip it to a temporary workbench. `Late!
