Amazon.com Review There's nothing you can't do with this puppy. A full 19.2 volts of power will do away with fasteners as if you had a jackhammer in your hand, and 470 inch-pounds of torque provide all the drive power you'll need. Because of the two-speed gearbox, you've got drill speed ranges of 0 to 500 rpm and 0 to 1,500 rpm. Its 1/2-inch ratcheting chuck is keyless, and the 20-position clutch takes care of drilling and driving into all kinds of material. Porter-Cable's drills are among the best on the market; you'll never regret a Porter-Cable purchase. But here's one more reason to go with this model if you're in the market for a cordless drill/driver: the interchangeable Grip-to-Fit handle inserts. Having grappled with tool handles that were too big to control, we think this system is a great idea. There are manly sized grips included, of course, but for the woman woodworker or cabinetmaker, welcome to a delight--small grips! The kit is a good deal--it includes two batteries, a charger, a case, a bit, and side handles for hammer drill use. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Best cordless drill on the market!!! May 8, 2008 This is by far the best cordless drill on the market. When I burn this one up, I'll buy another one just like it again!
Great Drill!! March 31, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My father is a contractor who is very picky about his tools, and very hard on them as well. This is the 3rd drill of the same model for him, and he keeps going back to it because he likes it so much. I even picked one up for myself, seeing how much he likes his! It drills through anything! Good battery life, charges quickly, great product overall. A bit heavy, but understandably so, seeing that the power it puts out needs to come from somewhere!
Very satisfied January 23, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
My 5 year old 19.2 Porter Cable 1/2 inch drill had a battery go bad. So I bought this one. Turns out the charger was bad so now I have two great drills and 4 batteries! Cool! This drill is everything they say it is. It goes through concrete block like butter. Have not tried it in poured concrete yet. The chuck is much better than the old one. When the motor is stoped, the shaft is locked and that makes it easier to loosen the chuck with one hand.
My third Porter-Cable tool January 18, 2007 I am very pleased with this drill. It is replacing a Black&Decker 14.4 volt drill I purchased 2 years ago. The Porter-Cable drill appears to be a much better made drill. I really like the two speed ranges. The charger will not charge hot batterys which would shorten battery life, a great feature if your relatives borrow you tools and do not read instructions. For heavy duty use Porter-Cable offers the same drill with a heavy duty battery, but with the 1 hour charger, I have not found a need for a larger battery. A great product!!
Be careful with this drill! January 5, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had one of these drills for almost two years now. The plastic handle around the trigger flexes when you are drilling. In other words, the motor is about to snap the handle casing...this drill can only handle mild tasks.
