A great professional cordless tool kit. 18 volt Lithium-Ion has the best power-to-weight ratio of any cordless tool and now Milwaukee durability is available in 18 volts and is backed up by a 5-year warranty, the best in the industry. My favorite aspect about Milwaukee Lithium-Ion cordless tools is the "fuel gauge." The "fuel gauge," as they're calling it, indicates how much battery power is left in the battery, as well as when you need to recharge it. Lithium-Ion batteries do not dissipate their charge like their NiCad cousins. A fully charged, unused NiCad battery will dissipate 20% in 24 hours, where as a Lithium-Ion will only dissipate 1 percent to 2 percent in the same time period. Also, a Lithium-Ion battery will give the tool optimum 18-volt power, until recharge time, when the power output will noticeably drop off suddenly. A fresh NiCad battery will only provide 18-volt power at the beginning and will "fade" in power steadily until recharge time. Do yourself a favor and go Lithium.Recip Saw
This recip saw, also called "sawzall," after the first one developed many years ago by Milwaukee, has a two-finger trigger and anti-slip rubber grips over the front housing and the handle. This powerful tool has variable speeds, trigger lock-on and an adjustable shoe to extend blade life. This recip saw cuts fast (2,700 strokes per minute) and has a 1-1/8-inch stroke length. Vibration is also low, which makes it more comfortable to use. This 18-volt sawzall has an overload protection clutch to protect the tool during heavy-duty use and a tool-less blade clamp for ease in changing blades. It has a tool-free adjustable shoe to extend blade life and depth-of-cut-control. The balance is a bit off, but when demo-ing with a recip saw, balance is last on your mind. It's light enough not to cause extra fatigue due to a front-heavy design. The handle doesn't have enough room, when using the bulkier type of work gloves. If you use a tight-fitting glove, you should have ample room to work comfortably. Circular Saw
This powerful and fast 6--inch cordless saw has a responsive blade brake and a 50 degree bevel. The blade guard has a lower lip to catch on the front edge of lumber during bevel cuts, so it retracts as the cut progresses, instead of getting caught and stalling the cut. Hammer Drill
This powerful hammer drill boasts 450 in./lbs. of torque and has a -inch chuck with ratcheting carbide jaws to securely clamp the bit when drilling and driving. There is nothing more annoying than to have to stop drilling just to retighten the bit in the chuck. This tool drills faster than most, has anti-slip rubber grips and heavy-duty bit storage on either side of the tool. It feels nice in the hand, but is a bit heavy for a Lithium-Ion tool. The light has a long-life, and a very bright Xenon bulb. A nice feature is a belt clip on the light itself, as well as a swivel head for adjusting the light to any angle. There's even a spare bulb under the lens cap! This is a great feature. I can't believe no one has thought of this before. It can take weeks to find the time to order a new bulb. From the outset I have to admit I am bias in favor of Milwaukee tools however this drill that came with the set dissapointed me. I have (had)two other Milwaukee cordless drills and have never been dissapointed until the 2nd Lok-Tor(Ni-Cad) "walked away on the job". Therefore I purchased the lithium set since it also charges the Ni-Cad as well, also it had a bit more torque so I was sold (price was great as well).
After I obtaining the set I put it to use the next day (the order came within 2 days without extra cost, it was fast). I mainly used the drill all day in drill setting. The next day I had make pilot holes through double brick so I said to myself lets see what it can do. 6 holes, no problem, worked like a champ until the 7th hole, it just died, VERY DISSAPOINTED! I took it in for repair at the certefied shop and have been waiting three weeks so far to get it back, still waiting.
One might ask, would I buy another, I would have to say yes since Im a diehard for Miwaukee. Further info, the old Lok-Tot I had was made in Germany, this new Lithium one was made in ROC (Republic of China), could this be the cause? I understand there is a cost factor since my German made Lok-Tor costed as much as this whole kit, therefor could it be a lack of quality control? I dont know but I will wait and see.

First off, this set is fantastic quality and is very well built. The bodys of all three tools have little or no flex to them, and are ballanced quite well. After coming from two Bosch 18v sets, this set makes them feel completely laughable, like they are Wal-Mart "Black & Decker" or something (Yes, I know Bosch & B&D share genetics). The only downside to this set is the surprising size and weight. The don't feel any lighter than the aformentioned set and are certainly not any smaller. This is tainted somewhat because of comparing two totally different quality tools. The size is the same as any 18v ni-cad drill. Interestingly, you have to sit this drill (or any other in the set) right next to a 28v tool to notice any appreciable difference in size. If you need power and can handle the price, there really is no penalty to go with the 28v set. The circ saw is better in the 28v set too.
For me, the initial deal maker for me was the battery gauge. I think it should basicly be required on lithium batteries because of their full performance right up to the end of their charge.
They should have included the belt clip with the set and put the tools in a bag instead of the plastic puzzle box.
Bottom line-awesome quality set but with minimal improvements.

These are good tools at a very good price. A couple of annoying things about the kit.
The batteries are somewhat difficult to remove from the tools.
I was disappointed to find a limited # of tools for these batteries. (I was hoping for a jig saw)
The kit I saw at a lumber yard show had 2 different sized batteries, both 18v li-ion, but one was much lighter than the other. This kit doen't have that.
The tools are heavy duty and have worked well so far (1 month).

I would just like to say that I think these tools are fantastic. I run my own handyman company and I use these tools all the time. I was originally using an old dewalt set that was ready to be replaced. I tried many of my friends tools and it came down to the Dewalt 36 volt and Milwaukee V28 sets. I knew that I wanted the lithium ion batteries. I used both of these sets and there main drawback was the weight. I then found out about the V18 set by milwaukee. Its lighter than the other sets but plenty powerful. I have used the drill to hang sheetrock and drive lag screws into 4x6's. The trim saw will cut through 2x4's and never show sign of slowing down. The sawzall is the best cordless I've ever used. These batteries also last what seems like forever. I almost bought this set in the store for close to $1000. I can't believe it was so reasonably priced on Amazon. These tool are fantastic.
