Good tool, great value October 10, 2008 I'm very happy with this drill. I'v owned three Dewalt's over the last five years and I was happy with them. I though I'd try this Makita to see if I can get more life out of the drill without sacraficing quality.
Excellent Choice September 30, 2008 What I like: - Very Powerful (drills in lath and plaster walls) - light weigh - A lot of torque settings (16) - Extra Battery - must ! - Ultra-fast battery recharge (25 minutes) - Not expensive (comparing to other Makita and Bosch drill drivers)
What I don't like: - Nothing !
Summary: I think that this tool is perfect !
Indispensable home tool September 11, 2008 I bought this as a replacement for my seven year old 9.6 volt (or something like that) Makita drill. The only reason I replaced it was because after seven years of pretty steady household/basement refinishing/etc. use, the two rechargeable batteries finally died. The price of two batteries was nearly that of a drill upgrade (12 volt) with two batteries. The previous model was an incredibly reliable, versatile and indispensable home tool. I have great expectations for this one, too. So far it's great.
Makita 6270 12-volt drill/driver Ni-Cad Kit August 20, 2008 Do the math. The bats are $46.xx ea, the charger is @ $60.xx, the drill is a reasonably good unit, if you need replacement bats buy this kit. My 12v 1.3ah bats are on their last legs after 5 yrs, this is the best yet deal on new bats. And the free drill bits were a nice kicker on a Friday deal.
Works like a Makita August 16, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was not disappointed with this little powerhouse. Does the job for most household repairs and bigger projects as well. Lightweight and with two batteries, a great deal.
