Product Description 4-1/2", 18V, Cordless, Cut Off Tool Kit With 6,500 RPM, Trigger Switch, 3 Position Side Handle, Spindle Lock Feature, Uses Wheels Rated At 10,000 RPM Or Above.
Amazon.com When you need a cutter and there's no electric power around, this 18-volt cordless cut-off tool is your best bet. At 6,500 rpm, you'll get high power for all kinds of cutting and grinding applications. Trim rebar, steel pipes and iron rails with ease. Wheel-changing is easy, thanks to the spindle lock, and the three-position side handle offers great control. We like the easy grip, the comfortable trigger switch and the lock-off feature. The neatly designed grinding guard lets you sand and polish, too. Best of all, if you already own a DeWalt 18-volt tool, the battery's the same--you get two in this box --and a one-hour charger's included.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Dewalt Chordless Grinder May 27, 2008 This product was just what I needed, it works well and was delivered in a timely fasion.
Great deal, Great tool March 15, 2008 this tool works great. came with very useful optional guards. had no problem cuting through 8 guage pipe, handles very well. and has the ability to rotate the head(silver part) to any of the 4 directions on the handle. i'm very happy!!
Great Grinder on the fly April 12, 2007 I love this thing. I can use it in the yard, at the race track, anywhere cordless. Battery life is reasonable and it works great with flapper disks.
Excellent cutoff tool for quick jobs January 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a Dewalt 18 volt hammer drill that I love, so when my Makita angle grinder died, I bought a Dewalt replacement. I like the tool. It is easy to change blades and flexible in use because of the 18 volt battery pack. Power and torque is good for most cut off and grinding jobs, but the tool drags a bit during use with a wire brush for jobs like heavy paint stripping. The battery life is a factor with heavy use--more than with my Dewalt 18 volt drill. To be fair, the tool is not designed for this type of use. I would highly recommend this tool for a user who needs a fast and flexible cutoff tool or for a quick grinding job. For longer grinding or stripping jobs get a Dewalt corded angle grinder.
DeWalt 18 volt Cordless Angle Grinder November 12, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have used this grinder to cut through rebar and for general grinding applications and it works great. It is very comfortable to use and well balanced. Just one thing, make sure to use a newly charged battery because it will run down older batteries rather quickly. It may not replace a corded grinder for heavy duty grinding applications, but for all purpose cutting and grinding for small to medium jobs it works very well.
