5 out of 5 stars Ryobi 7.2V Cordless Drill Kit   May 13, 2007

Ryobi is a very good value for the price, but people have to realize that Ryobi is for homeowners who use their products occasionally. They are not for comercial or continuous use.

1 out of 5 stars Worst Drill Ever, Worst Customer Service Ever   January 15, 2007

I just bought this Ryobi Drill and the battery was defective in the box. I called up customer service and the guy had the temerity to laugh at me and say "You get what you pay for." Unbelievable! Maybe the only thing more unbelievable is that I thought to save money and buy this terrible, defective drill. Please don't ever buy this.

1 out of 5 stars My issues with Ryobi   October 30, 2006

I purchased one of these new at Home Depot for each of my children and found that they failed to recharge after a short idle period. I recycled the batteries and threw the drills away and am now spending a little more on small DeWalt drills. I also purchased a small Ryobi band saw also from Home Depot and found that it would not cut a straight line right out of the box. After speaking with the Ryobi rep, we quickly concluded the blade was defective. He told me I could repack the saw and return it or buy a new blade. No wonder they can sell them so cheap if you need to buy more parts to make them work. I did buy a new blade (not Ryobi brand) and this problem was fixed. There are other new problems.

This stuff is cheap but is an excellent example of the old saying that you get what you pay for. Spend a little more and get something of better quality than this stuff. I am really disappointed in Home Depot for selling this brand. I would expect to see it at Harbour Freight not HD.
