 Power for low price May 19, 2008
I spent about a year researching drills before purchasing this one. (OK--I'm slow, but I hate making a bad purchase.) I was hoping for a Makita but found this one for about $20 off on sale and decided to just get it. I like every bit as much as the Makita drills I have used. I do a lot of art work that requires drilling and this stands up to many tasks very well. Have not tried using it on metal or brick yet but it works well on all types of woods, dry wall, etc. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent Value August 11, 2007
I have had this driver/drill for about three weeks now. Used it for a kitchen remodel. Very happy with it's battery life and power. The included bits were nice as well. Would highly recommend this item.

Bought this from Cummins Industrial Tools (through Amazon), and it was supposed to come with 2 batteries, but only arrived with one. Emailed Cummings several times, but they did not respond to any of my emails asking for the 2nd battery. Then they told Amazon they had sent 2 batteries, which was not true. Amazon made it good with their guarantee program (3 cheers for Amazon). So, I like the tool, but would never deal with Cummins again.

A faulty switch, well known to Ryobi (according to the service rep who fixed it for me, all under warrenty, but after 4 weeks) is why this unit is sold at a discount. Indeed, last weekend (4/11/06) Home Depot was selling this exact unit NEW for less than this factory refurbished unit cost me 3 months ago.

You get what you pay for. Charger doesn't shut off when batteries are done charging so I have to guess when the are done.
