useful tray tables October 9, 2008 These tables are not the all-metal old-fashioned kind. The oak laminated tops are thin particle board, with small rivets showing on the upper surface. They are sturdy enough to use for dishes, when you want to eat in front of the TV, but I would not put anything heavy like a laptop on them. You could probably use them as extra tables for lightweight crafts work, since the raised edges will prevent anything from rolling off. Space underneath is 22 1/2 inches. The tables are pretty well made, not wobbly, and easy to fold down for storage.
Wonderful tables September 9, 2008 I am thrilled with these tables, just what I was looking for. And, they are better looking than I imagined. Very happy with this purchase!

I have recently purchased 3 sets of these trays and I am very satisified with the product.

This pair of TV trays is exactly what I was looking for. However, there is about a one inch gap between the width of the inner and outer legs. This causes two problems. The legs do not fit into the holding clips properly because the bends get in the way. The rivet holding the legs is not tight making for a very loose joint. If you are replacing an old set of trays, keep the old legs and throw the new ones away as I did.
QUAKER HONEY OAK TRAY TABLE 21" x 15" October 10, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Exactly what I was looking for, at the time, a low volume purchase, versus having to buy greater than a certain amount, which might have been more than your average consumer could use for a single family. Just like the ones I'd had years before and liked so well. Good quality that should give me years of service and the price was right. I was glad to find them on Amazon, as I was having problems finding them elsewhere. I had almost given up looking for trays that have a raised edge all around which, from personal experience, makes it nice in case the items being cared decide to slide around. Just that little bit of extra security gives a person more piece of mind. Most other, more expensive, trays don't come with that feature. They do have a slick top surface, which tends to allow movement, so the edge helps. I would like to see trays with at least some degree of a non-skid top surface preparation, but it seems, by mine findings, that they are unavailable. I would say these are the next best thing. One last thing, it might have been nice if a matching storage rack, of some kind, were offered for them,(at additional cost), for the majority of the times when the trays are not in use.
