Product Description
Able to accommodate the heaviest routers, this thermoset 3/8-inch base plate measures 9 by 12 inches with a 1/4-by-1/2-inch lip, and allows mounting in 3/4-inch tops. Two rings snap out to accommodate larger router bits up to 3-3/4 inches with opening sizes of 1-1/4 (designed to fit template guides), 2-5/8, and 3-7/8 inches. The shoulder pin can be used in any of five locations for ease in starting freehand work. Also included are four corner Snuggers to remove excess play if the opening doesn't exactly match the base plate and to securely mount the plate to the top. The base plate is molded with a slight crown to ensure the center is the highest point.

 DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! July 22, 2008
I bought this product to do raised panels. You have spend an extra 20 bucks to buy a template so that you can install this piece of junk. My router has above the table height adjustment, while drilling the whole, the plate chipped out, I had to glue it back together. Also, when trying to install the levelers, the plate chipped out again!!! I did not install the levelers at all do the plate chipping. I have a 60 dollar piece of junk that is crowned in the center!!! DO NOT BUY THIS, U WILL HATE IT!!!

I saved a lot of money using this router plate to make my router table. The instructions are easy to follow and the end result was perfect.

Good inexpensive router plate April 10, 2007
This plate kit is well made and relatively easy to mount in my new router table top. The company included a good leveling system and reasonable directions. They should have included the template for cutting the hole. I used two carpenters squares to make a guide--it worked quite well.

I used the plate to add a router table to my table saw (ridgid 3650). The plate was very easy to install (w/o the template kit). It does require clamping a couple of shop made "L"s to the router table for the plate placement, which would be somewhat time consuming. I just clamped boards to the table and routed away with no problem. I would recommend the template for easier installation. The plate does not sag at all with my router installed, the installation kit ensures the plates does not move at all. Very good purchase.
