I saw the "review" above about the DELTA 20-950 Drill press after I ordered mine. My order was placed on March 5th. The promised delivery was April 4th - 20th (Free slow boat freight). The other reviewer's comment makes me wonder if my 6 week delivery promise is any good.
Has anyone received one yet or heard any update about when you might expect it?
I would order the laser model if I thought I could get it now, but it also says "Ships in 4 weeks". The new Powermatic is an alternative but nobody has any of those either.
I'm moving into a new shop and completely retooling, leaving all the old equipment behind with a friend. I have everything else but this drill press and I am getting desperate, I might have to go to Harbor Freight and grab a piece of junk to get by with for a few weeks or more.

but I wouldn't know since I ordered it Feb 8, 2007 and still don't have it. Amazon now says I won't receive it until May 4, 2007. That's a nearly 12 week delay - ridiculous. I included the year 2007 on the dates because the way it's going it might change to 2008. Be very prepared to wait and don't expect much explanation from Amazon.
