Product Description
7.2V-18V, Dual Port Battery, 1 Hour Charger For Dewalt Batteries.

Amazon.com Product Description
This handy dual port charger uses a DeWalt patented three-stage charging system to maximize performance and life for your NiCad batteries. First, the DW9216 provides maximum charge of two batteries in just one hour. And then, a 1- to 3-hour equalization mode charges each individual cell fully. After the equalization charges complete, the maintenance charge keeps the batteries fully charged.

This convenient charger features a thermal protection system that protects batteries that are too hot or too cold and adjusts accordingly, and it offers diagnostics with an LED indicator to indicate your battery's charge status. Five lights tell you at a glance where the battery is in the charging process.

I USE DEWALT TOOLS IN MY WORK. 7.2, 9.6, & 18V HAVING 9 DEWALT AND 3 SIZES OF BATTERIES I GO THRU SEVERAL A DAY. THIS IS THE ONLY CHARGER I CARRY. KEEPS ME IN GOOD BATTERIES ALL DAY. HANDYMAN

1 out of 5 stars subset of the DC-022 for almost the same price   May 25, 2007

It's great to have 2 chargers that handle multiple voltages - but for a few bucks more you get an extension cord, 3 outlets with gfci, and a 38W light that is AC or DC powered, and those same 2 chargers, except they have hold down brackets to keep the batteries in place. Check out the DC-022 light/charger/extension instead at this price point. It's real nice to pull a 38 watt light into your attic with no cord, or to have an ac powered light & charger - it does double duty.

I no longer have to wait when finishing a project. I have two of the dual chargers and now I always have a fresh battery to finish the job.
