Works great March 12, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Does a nice job truing up my grinding wheel. To avoid the problem of leaving grooves, just slide it across the wheel when truing. It'll leave a nice even surface.
wearing down quickly March 10, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Used this dresser to true a white wheel. Already show great signs of wear after the first use. Not sure how long the diamond grit on this tool will last.
Not as nice as hoped February 1, 2007 I got this hoping that it would be a cheaper way of truing the wheel on my Scheppach Tiger 2000, as it's a quarter the cost of the truing tool they sell... Well once again I learn the lesson that you get what you pay for. One of the other reviewers is correct, some of the grinding stones stick out more then the others. When you use it these leave grooves in the stone, not good. I think with a little work I can knock of the ones that stick out, but then again I shouldn't have to.
Commando grinding wheel dresser January 19, 2007 Not a good purchase. The multiple stones are not all the same height and result in streaks on the wheel being dressed. A single point diamond would have been a better solution.
Works as described January 6, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Also have the version with the multiple wheels, big cast iron handle, etc. Think you know the type as has been around for years. This one is very simple and works great. But what I really like about it is it is not as noisy as the wheeled version and it doesn't kick up all the dust as my old one did. It's also cheaper than the old wheeled version and does a better job of squaring up the face of the grind stone wheels.
