The ball bearing spindle is tapered to accept collets and bored through at 13/32" (10 mm). It allows even serial production of small parts. Stable tool rest with prism for centering may be secured at any height. Two faceplates for bigger work pieces are included. ABS headstock with long life and quiet motor for more than 1,000 hours of operation. Stable bed made from aluminum profile. Tailstock is adjustable with 3/4" (20 mm) quill travel. Centreless working or faceplate work is accommodated by turning the tool rest through 90. The work piece is fixed to the faceplate by means of normal woodscrews. At low rpms the electronic speed control even assists in semi-automatic painting process. Note: Lathe does NOT include Turning Tools. These are available as an option 27023 Proxxon Turning Tools.
