The Porter-Cable 42700 Precision Router Edge Guide has a large fence for smooth handling while routing. This edge guide features solid construction with an anodized, extruded aluminum body for strength and durability. The dual sliding and lockable adjustment mounts let you quickly slide the edge guide to the general area needed. Once you lock down the first slide and rotate the precision fine-adjust knob, the edge is exactly where you need it. The adjustment scale is in both fractional and metric increments. It will fit Porter-Cable routers models 7518, 7519, 7529, 7536, 7537, 7538 and 7539. The edge guide and mounting hardware are included. It comes with Porter-Cable's 1-year limited warranty.

I purchased the 42700 Edge Guide for use with my PC 7535 Speedmatic. The precision I get from this tool is worth every penny.
For dados, rabbits, and flutes it works great and has expanded my routers roll in my shop. The edgeguide like all of my Porter-Cable tools has held up well to many hours of work.

Am really pleased with edge guide. Have already used it to rout flutes in 40 pieces. Guide was simple to use. Very satisfied with product.

Somewhere on the Amazon website I read that this guide would fit the 890... It will once I drill and tap a couple of new holes... Caveat Emptor!

I purchased this to use with a Porter-Cable 7539 Router, it fits perfectly, and should fit any of the listed routers perfectly as well. I had used a friend's craftsman router with the stock edge guide for it, it worked ok, but after using this one there's no comparison. This edge guide is incredibly light weight and considering how long is it is doesn't unbalance the router at all. (Admittedly I'm using a really heavy router). It's also very accurate and is easily adjustable. Even the micro adjuster works really well.
