Product Description Built with a precision cast and machined aluminum housing and 100-percent ball bearings, this laminate trimmer is designed for production work. The aluminum housing dissipates heat to protect the motor and the ball bearing construction ensures long-lasting smooth operation. A micrometer ring allows easy adjustments to a tolerance of .015 inches, providing the precision required for beveled-edge trimming. The flat-top design makes for easy bit changes by inverting the unit. It has a beefy 4 amp motor that provides 27,500 rpm, yet is compact and lightweight for one-handed control. Comes included with motor no. 3102, base no. 3101, two wrenches no. 44745, and operator's manual.

Its called the love tap... September 3, 2008 This is an amazing trim router. Ive used pretty much every other one out there and this one is far and away the best. As for the sticking bit problem; Ive had it with everyone Ive ever used but the magical wrench tap always works. Ive found that having one wrench around the collet nut and tapping the other wrench against the first is a better way to release the bit as this reduces the risk of damaging the threads on the actual collet.
Too Good to be gone from the market!! June 10, 2008 This router/ trimmer has been taken off the market, and replaced. These are the handiest routers for a number of jobs, and I really hate to see them go. Built sturdy and with plenty of power, they will be very hard to replace!!
PC 310 trim router December 21, 2007 I have the pleasure of having 3 of these routers. All made in the USA. I am a tool junkie to say the least. This is by far the best of the trim routers I have. It is a joy to use. I also have a Bosch Colt with variable speed that is nice. Also a Ryobi TR30U that is a great little router and a DeWalt trimmer. The P-C just feels better in my hand and is easier to adjust then the others. Sometimes the collet sticks but a small tap with the arbor wrench on the collet nut is all it takes. I myself love the 2 wrench set up instead of the single wrench on the Bosch and DeWalt trimmers. If P-C would put a variable speed or 2 speeds on this router it would be great ! Maybe even a self releasing collet to top it off. Oh and the P-C should be made in the USA for the money that they get for it. What a shame that its made in Mexico now.
Hey kids, this is a TRIM router! October 3, 2007 When you see some one give this router one star and then go on to compare it to a PC 690LR you know they just don't get it. I see other people are having success using it for other projects, but this is made to trim off laminate or what you might call Formica, though that is just one brand name. I'm sure you have seen it on counter tops before. Anyone looking for a trim router knows this already but it looks like people are buying this thinking they have a multi purpose router. I'm sure overworking this little thing is why they are getting bits stuck.
I prefer this to the 7310 and 309. I have had them last for years with daily use. This is a great trim router but that is all we use them for. We have other types of routers for other jobs (all porter cable too, btw)but have about 10 of these with flush bits, bevel bits and 3mm round over bits and they all work great. The bits don't get changed other than to sharpen them, but I have never had to use pliers on them. It is cheaper for us to buy a router than to pay someone to take the time to change bits. I have had more stolen than break.
Great Value for a Great Tool December 13, 2006 I actually did some research on this tool and at the price the GOTeSTUFF sells at, we made a great buy!! This tool is awesome for the power output!
