3 out of 5 stars decent lift, but handbrake went out and the stop doesnt work   November 29, 2008
The lift does its basic function of lifting and lowering panels well and I have been using it ok. The problem is the braking system went out and the stop to ensure the lift doesnt slide on you doesnt work. Still better than renting one, so the value is still there, but be careful if the brake goes out while you are underneath it.

5 out of 5 stars Great tool for the money   November 23, 2008
Great tool for the money. Obviously a pro rock hanger wouldn't use it. But it does what it's supposed to. Very easy to use. I highly recommend this for the home owner. The assembly instructions suck. The box it came in was all tore up. But the tool is great.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic Machine   October 21, 2008
This makes hanging drywall a breeze. I bought this because I was hangdrywall myself. It worked fantastic. If I had one conit would be the break it doesn't hold as well as it should.

4 out of 5 stars Solid Product   October 15, 2008
I could have rented one for 8 days at the price I paid for this one. I am doing a basement by myself and needed it for more than 8 days to do 1600 square feet of ceilings. It worked well with a few minor adjustments and some WD-40 to get out the squeaks. The construction is a bit crude but very solid. It weighs about 98 lbs and costs almost 100 dollars to ship but at the 74 dollar price it was worth it. Cool thing is that I can sell it for 100 bucks after I am finished and recover some of the cost.
Shipping was fast and product was in good shape when it arrived.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth the money   October 14, 2008
Works great!
Pros: does everything a drywall lift should do. It appears they have the box thing figured out... mine came in a double boxed carton.
Cons: The handle on the lifting mechanism uses a lock nut and if/when that nut backs off it catches the lifting wire. Minor I know but it took me awhile to figure out why the lift would not go up LOL.
I'd buy another one in a heartbeat!
