This filter is designed to fit the following Hoover models: All Bagless Uprights Hoover bagless uprights model# U5750-900), U5290-900, U6430-900 model U8140-900 Hoover models 5722, 5750, 6616, 6630, 6660, 8146, and 8147. Simply take this filter out, and wash it with hot water for best results. Make sure the filter is 100% dry before usage.

 Better than non-washable July 31, 2008
Have only used twice but did wash and it seemed to get pretty clean. There was a bit of residual dust in the white filter that did not seem to wash out. Still worked real well after washing it. Much cheaper in price than a non-washable one from Walmart - there it is about $26 and not washable. The non-washable ones are realy hard to get all the dust out of. I gave it 4 stars only because I haven't used it for very long. But I have high hopes for this product.

I own an older Hoover vacuum - and it is nice to still get the parts. In this case it is an improved HEPA filter. Arrived very quickly.
