Imcorrect Specifications August 21, 2008 The in and out fitting is designed for 1/2 inch threads. The specs state its 3/8. So, you will need to locate a 1/2 to 3/8 reducer if your equip is setup for 3/8 (like a 3/8 hose) (The reducer is apparently hard to find at any reasonable price online) so beware of that.
fairly pleased October 18, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After we replaced a defective o-ring the unit works really well. The o-ring was obviously pinched when the unit was put together. We decide it was much easier to replace the o-ring than to argue.
Be aware of plastic parts January 4, 2006 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I purchased this sometime ago, installed it in my garage and got very little use out of it before the threads in the plastic piece above the lubricator side cracked and wouldn't hold any pressure. I contacted Grizzly and they couldn't help me. I guess I'll be looking to eliminate that side of the unit and at least try and get some use out of the filter. I don't know the cause of the this piece breaking since I never touched it - it may have been the cold air?
Good basic regulator/filter September 26, 2004 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This unit mounted easily and hooked right into the air line system I just installed in my garage. Easy to use with plenty of room to fine tune pressure adjustments.
One caveat though. The instructions stated that the inlet and outlet ports would take 3/8" NPT fixtures. I bought 3/8" to 1/4" pieces to match the rest of the system, only to find out that the ports on the unit were 1/2" NPT. Lesson learned: measure before you buy the add-on parts.
Still an outstanding unit for the money.
