Always Pleased with Biesemeyer Products December 8, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used to work in a couple of custom cabinet shops and at those shops we used a couple of different Biesemeyer products. One of those being this product, the Biesemeyer 78-989 T-square Dual Pointer Cut-off Saw Stop. It worked very well for the applications we used it for. When I quit those shops and started my own home shop I wanted a good saw stop I could use on my miter saw. I use this saw mainly for cutting out face frame parts and with the accuracy of the Biesemeyer products this particular saw stop makes this possible. It is very easy to set up and get started using right away. What you need to figure out it is which side of the saw you want to use it on and buy the appropriate stick on tape measure either right to left or left to right. Or you may want to use it on both sides of the saw. This is well worth the money. If set up correctly you will get your return back on the accuracy of the product.
The last saw stop you will buy April 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I actually bought this stop to replace the one we lost in our shop fire this year. We had been using it in an industrial application for over 10 years. First with a radial arm saw then with the Jump Saw that replaced it. Over that time I have replaced a few pointers and the forcing screw, which can be easily made. I just thought that the long service review would be useful to shoppers hesitating over the price. Yes, it really is worth it!
Typicial Biesemeyer June 14, 2003 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This product is just what you would expect from Biesmeyer, meaning a little pricey but excellent quality. The stop is very well made. The dual cursor settings on both sides of the stop for guaging both straight-line cuts and miter cuts are excellent. Product is also delivered with excellent packaging, ensuring no damage during delivery. Enjoy...!
An excellent accessory for your miter saw October 11, 2000 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I have come to expect a lot from Biesemeyer (especially for the price), and this accessory does not disappoint. It enables very accurate cutoffs repeatably. It attaches to any fence that is 1.5" thick, and at least 1" high. The large knob tightens securely to the fence, and even slamming stock against it won't move it. The stops can be adjusted to conincide exactly with the placement of the measuring tape on the fence by screwing them in or out, and then are fixed in place with a jam nut.
