Product Description 10", 13A Motor, Compound Power Miter Saw, 7 Miter Stops, High Sliding Fence, Electric Brake, Lightweight 28 LB, Includes 24T Ct 10" Blade, Dust Bag, Capacity 2 x 6 & 4 x 4 @ 90, 2 Year Warranty.
Amazon.com Product Description The Delta SM100M 13 Amp 10-Inch Compound Miter Saw delivers plenty of cutting power with its 13 amp motor. The large sliding fence accommodates cuts into extra-wide wood, and the table pivots to 47 degrees on left and right angles for trickier cuts, with stops at 0, 22.5, and 45 degrees. The blade itself tilts from -3 to 48 degrees for bevel cuts, and you can set blade and table pivots to keep crown moldings flat while you cut them. The blade tilt lets you cut material as much as 5.875 inches wide. The 3.5-inch height of the base lets you pair it up with a 2-by-4 put on its end to create a job site work table for cutting longer pieces. The pre-drilled fence also lets you mount wood auxiliary fences for taller work pieces. This saw weighs only 28 pounds thanks to its aluminum-alloy material, and it comes with a dust bag so you won't be coughing for minutes after cutting your material, and a 2-year warranty.

Delta SM100M Shopmaster September 8, 2008 For the money you can't beat his saw. I used it to install a hardwood floor in my house and it didn't skip a beat. It is a smaller saw, so if you are more than a DIYer, you may want to invest more in a saw. The dust bag works about as good as all the others out the, but you can hook up a ShopVac to it and it works really well. I bought a Freud Diablo blade for mine to make fininshing cuts, and I also bought and Irwin Laser Guide too which also works well. Although it is a "Shopmaseter" it is still a Delta and a quality little saw. Way better than the Craftsman or Ryobi of equal value.
Great saw...if you never have to replace the blade. May 20, 2008 then it is a major pain. The instructions seem pretty simple but the saw doesn't function that way it should and you have to take a bunch of stuff apart just to replace the blade.
Unsatisfactory miter saw May 3, 2008 This miter saw (Delta SM100M) is not the saw if you need precise cuts. The cuts in the saw I ordered would not cut consistent angles, varying by as much as + or - a degree. Using a dial indicator I found it very easy to move the saw right or left by over 1/64 inch at the center line of the blade. This, with all the hardware and locks tight. The problem appears to be a lack of rigidity in the saw arm.
Shopmaster miter saw is great April 12, 2008 I like this saw. Being a beginner I was not sure what to expect since this is my first miter. This saw is great!. I matched it up with a Black & Decker Fire Storm miter work stand.
Good Saw, Could Use More Features April 8, 2008 This is my first miter saw and I have to say that it was surpisingly easy to use. I used this saw while installing my new hardwood flooring and it gave nice sharp clean cuts. One tip is to definitely wear some goggles when using the saw. There is a lot of saw dust and it's hard to work at certain angles without it. The only reason I'm giving this saw four stars is because when making bevel cuts I was unable to cut certain pieces due to the size of the wood (only 5.5 inches). All in all, a really good saw for the non-professional homeowners.
