Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
A thin kerf blade with a Perma-SHIELD coating is ideal for a cordless trim saw. The coating makes the blade resistant to heat build up. The thin kerf requires less cutting power allowing the blade to glide through the material. This design combination requires less power from the saw therefore extending the life of the battery. Use the TK002, TK003, and TK004 for the DeWalt or other similar cordless circular saws. Application: Trim Saw Blades For Extending Run Time On Porter Cable & Saw Boss

5 out of 5 stars Best blade ever for 5-1/2" circ saws!   May 26, 2008
I was trying to cut laminate flooring with a stock blade on a Ryobi 18V 5-1/2" circular saw and it just wasn't working. The blade would bind up every time, resulting in jagged cuts. Someone on the Ryobi power tool forum suggested using this blade with it's extra-thin kern and I've had no problems cutting and ripping thru the laminate. You do give up 1/8" of cutting depth, but it wasn't a problem for flooring. Ditch the piece of crap blade that came with your 5-1/2" saw and get one of these!

5 out of 5 stars Dandy little blade   January 9, 2008
I bought this blade to replace the one on my Craftsman 19.2 volt trim saw after buying a Freud blade for my table saw and loving it. This blade is a great blade for just about anything you need to cut with your trim saw. I have cut anything from 1/4" plywood to 3/4" mdf to 4/4 oak with this blade and have been satisfied with the results and performance. Until I bought Freud blades I had no idea how much of a difference a quality blade makes.

5 out of 5 stars Great Replacement Blade for your Trim Saw   July 13, 2000

I installed one of these on my Dewalt 12 volt trim saw after wearing out the factory blade. It is a great improvement over the original. It cuts true and clean, clean, clean! It is not quite as smooth as my Forrest Woodworker II, but what more could I want for 1/5 the price? It does have a thinner kerf than the standard Dewalt blade, but I really can't tell how much better it performs due to that factor; just a new sharp blade may be most of the additional cutting capability I now have. Having said that, the Freud does cut cleaner and smoother than I EVER remember this saw cutting in the past. The look of the blade takes a little getting used to - instead of a solid silver disk, I have a piece of red swiss cheese spinning in there now.

This is a worthwhile upgrade, whether you're ready or not.
