Fast and Easy March 20, 2007 The saws cut as fast as can be, and the speed change system is super fast making changes for differnt size holes less time consuming.
The best holesaw on the market November 3, 2006 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
Not only do these saws cut cleanly and agressively, they stay relatively cool. The snap-on/off feature puts this hole saw way above the rest. To clean out the wooden plug after cutting, simply remove the hole saw by pulling on the retaining collar, then snap the saw back on, automatically dislodging the plug. The best hole saw set I've owned or used, bar none.
Great idea, bad materials? April 2, 2006 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I ordered this kit because it looked like a great new way to use hole saws. They are sharp and cut well but the big problem is the arbor, it's absolute junk. I don't know about you but when drilling holes with larger bits it's easy to have them hook and stop suddenly. With the old type of arbor, all you had to worry about was smashing your knuckles in tight quarters, or maybe a broken wrist or two :) The arbors for this set bend very easily when they hook. I've gone through three and the third was my last one. I doubt that I drilled 20 holes with the three arbors. Maybe if I was using a drill press to drill holes in wood that's clamped down to the table it might work well. Hopefully another company will make a set that actually works.
Excellent design and value June 8, 2004 17 out of 19 found this review helpful
If you don't want to spend over $250 for a set of carbide hole saws, then this is as good as it gets at a fraction of a carbide set's price. The best feature about this Bosch set is the terrific quick-connect mandrel system. The hole saws, regardless of size, snaps in and out of the mandrel easily -- no tightening or screwing needed. The saws are sharp. I used the set to install locksets in two metal-clad wood doors without breaking into a sweat. Highly recommended.
