Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Read precise angles in seconds! Built-in super strong magnets securely attach the gauge to a saw blade so you can quickly and easily set the bevel angle to 0.1 resolution. Works great for miter saws and table saws, plus set the angle of jointer fences and band saw tables.

5 out of 5 stars Great aid for a perfectionist   May 9, 2008

The Wixey angle gauge is the perfect device for setting up a table saw or similar stationary tool. If you use a good right angle square you can probably set a tool to a 90 degrees +/- 1.0 or even 0.5 degrees. With the Wixey you can get to +/- 0.1, and if you're just a bit of a nut like me that's a good thing. If you're trying to set the 45 degree stop for a table saw or set an angle for cutting crown molding or some other odd angle, the Wixey can't be beat.

Apart from setting up tools when they're new or being checked, it helps you set up jigs, drill bit angles, etc. You can even measure how accurate your right angle squares are. It's easy to zero and easy to use. One odd bit in the design is that the orientation sensor doesn't shut off completely even when the display is off. So the battery apparently has about a 6 month life. But it's easy enough to take the battery out, tape it to the gauge and reinstall it only when you're using the gauge. And Wixey gives you two batteries with the gauge - one already installed and a spare in an unopened package. (They do the same with the height gauage).

Measurements appear to be repeatable to +/- 0.1 degree accuracy. The display was easy to read in my well lit workshop, but I don't know how well it would work in sunlight. There's a competing product made by Beal that's similar.

5 out of 5 stars Great Accurate Tool   March 15, 2008

This is a well appreciated addition to my shop. It allows making beveled cuts repeatable to a tenth of a degree.

I was going to purchase an Incra square and probably still will for setting up my 90's on tools and instead decided to go with this first. This accomplished the task just as well. They both have their place because each can do things the other can not. This is an absolute ease to use and allows setting up any bevel angle accurately.

Combine with a dead on square and this tool will allow your shop repeatable accuracy in fractional degrees.

I got mine cheaper at Rockler even with shipping.

I highly recommend this as it worked perfectly. Nice and compact and very consistant. I use it mainly on my table saw for insuring perfect angles and on automotive work "setting pinion angles"

3 out of 5 stars Don't drop it!   January 21, 2008

I loved using this tool while it lasted. Unfortunately, as happens in workshops, it was accidently dropped on the floor while I was using it. It immediately went dead and appears to be unrepairable.

4 out of 5 stars Nice luxery   January 12, 2008

This product is a nice luxery, If your stops are good on your saw than your 90 and 45 are already perfect but when you are setting a 22.5 or anything else this makes the setup a breeze.
