Quite powerful, well made. Chinese but I could not see spending $350.00 for a new Baldor 8".
The plastic guards on the Jet are a joke, broke at the slightest pressure -- I think they WERE styrene -- tossed them away.
Jet products are found in factories and commercial use, so I felt confident in the product. Buy one.
