Use of Little giant Chalkbox May 19, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We do alot of roof work that requires chalking lines 50, 60 or 70 feet across a roof----the Little Giant chalk box with its strong chalk line will let us stretch the string across these distances and snap a line that is sharp, readable and most of all accurrate. Love this chalk box!! Tim Jewell General Contractor #39264 Jacksonville, North Carolina
Great, big, chalkine May 5, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I build log homes, and we snap chalkines on long, large, naturally-shaped logs for marking centerlines, for indicating where to make certain cuts (ceiling slots and floor slots), and so on. For years I used the standard carpenter's Stanley chalkline -- but they are small, weak, thin, and stretchy compared to this brute. The line in the Keson Little Giant holds a LOT of chalk, and makes a good, strong line on irregular and rough surfaces--and I have never broken it. It deposits chalk a little more than 1/8 inch wide, so it's not for precision work (but how precise can you get with a chalkline? And a projected laser line is at least this wide). Five stars. For more on tools for log home construction -- please check out my book, the Log Construction Manual.
Better than what I thought February 19, 2006 This product is better than what I thought it was. Everyone who saw it, wants one, they love it. The product and service I recieved was great. I would recommend this Little Gaint Clalkbox, to anyone who wears a tool belt and does chalk lines all the time.
