 high quality bit set, great buy August 31, 2010

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I bought it to remove the caddy on my MacBook hard disk so I could upgrade to a new hard disk, and it has both the bits I needed for that. If I buy a MacBook Pro at some point, it will have the bits I need for that, too.
The quality of the bits is high. The quality of the holder is high. The quality of the case is high. Everything about this bit set is a pleasure to use, and the price is right. Now I wish i had something else to take apart.
I've seen reviews that say the thingamajiggie that you stick in the handle to hold the bit is plastic. Mine is metal. Perhaps they changed that. I've also read reviews that say the box that holds the bits is flimsy. Mine doesn't look flimsy. Maybe they changed that, too.
In short, I have no complaints at all and can recommend this product without reservation.

This is an awesome little kit. I often work with small electronics, from computers to videogame consoles. i was sick of the metal set of precision screwdrivers i had, they ripped up my hands whenever i tried to losten a tight screw. with this set, its extremly easy to remove even the most stubborn of screws. it also has a very large selection of heads to use, i have yet to find anything that is not covered in this kit(except for the security torex heads)
I found that putting the heads directly into the "handle" caused them to slip into the handle after a while. but there is a simple fix. simply put the included extension rod all the way into the handle, and the the dead into that. no more slipping, no matter how hard you push down!
I defenetly recommended it to anyone who works with smaller sized screws

Fantastic for the price.
Pros
- Cheap
- Lots of bits
- Comes with an extending bit
- Screwdriver handle has a rotating end, which makes one-handed use much easier
Cons
- Not magnetic (neither the bits, nor the extending bit), so it takes a little bit more care
I only got the set today, and bought it for light use (to take apart some hard drives), so I can't vouch for long-term durability or how much torque they can withstand, but they're perfect for me. The lack of magnetic tip is extremely annoying though, hence 4 stars.
Great Product for a great price August 22, 2010

I got this toolset to open up my macbook pro to replace the hard drive. The case is a bit flimsy but the product itself is great. I was quickly able to use the t6 bit with included driver and remove the screws. The driver handle is really light and seem cheaply built but it doesnt matter because it gets the job done. This was an excellent deal at 12 bucks vs the t8 bit i bought earlier from home depot for 4 bucks.

The many positive reviews convinced me to buy this set. I appreciated the advice in the reviews about using the extension rod to prevent the bits from falling into the handle. It is worth reading some of the reviews to determine if the product is right for you. In my case, I needed a very small Torx bit that I did not want to try to find in a store. This kit has so many sizes, it included what I needed. The price was fair and the standard shipping was quick.
