Malco SRT2 Straight Handled Siding Removal Tool works as described and helped me take down a wall of siding and put it back up with no problems.
Necessary Siding Removal Tool April 12, 2007
The Malco SRT2 tool was critical in removing my Vinyl Siding for repair. I could not have removed my broken section of siding and replaced it with a new piece without this tool. An absolute necessity in my opinion.
A Surprising Siding Tool . . . February 15, 2007
My wife ordered me this Malco Straight Handled Siding Removal Tool from Amazon as a surprise.
It was a surprise all right! A surprise to both of us because I already owned the exact same one! Actually, it worked out fine because I plan on siding our cabin this summer and I can leave one there for any repair work that might come up and still have one on hand to use at home.
The Malco Siding Removal Tool should be in the tool box of anyone with siding installed on their house. It works exactly as it was meant to. We had a length of vinyl siding that had cracked and I easily removed and replaced it using the Malco Siding Tool. I also used it to finish siding a porch we enclosed and, as another reviewer mentioned, it works great around window casings. ~ The Boss

For closing up that last seam in a vinyl siding repair, this is the greatest--and don't forget to mark the top of each course as you take the old down.

The tool was easy to use when removing siding. I used it for Aluminum siding. But it was no help in putting the Aluminum back.
