Tapco 11676 Brake Buddy with case October 27, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This optional piece of equipment allows you to create specific profiles on your aluminum trim pieces. This can improve the rigidity of the piece and add detail. It works well, but I was disappointed to find that one of the most common profiles the V-ridge do not come with the unit and has to be purchased separately. Also you can't buy directly from Tapco so you have to locate a dealer and purchase from them. If you don't live near a dealer this is a hassle. I do not like it when a company sells a unit that lacks a commonly used accessory and then makes you buy it after you have already spent $100's. And they don't tell you that part is not included. Why make it difficult to get additional pattern rollers?
great tool November 10, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this tool to build a garage, along with the Tapco Pro 19 metal brake. Both tools worked flawlessly right out of the box. This is a good quality tool that i would recomend to anyone.
Flaws in this tool May 27, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I use this tool mainly for making brick moulding profiles. As recieved I found the screw that holds the dies in place keep falling out or would screw itself so tight it would jam the dies. I had to install a flat washer to act as a thrust bearing and apply Loc-Tite blue to the screw. The way the case is moulded requires you to have to spend time screwing the dies in or out to get it into position to use it each time. And time is money.
