I have been using Vaughan nail pullers for years with good results. They work well. I've looked at others, but use these.
I carry them in four sizes - from the trim pullers up to the large models. This 11+ model is the one in my bags. It's a good compromise between leverage, length and weight.
The Vaughan pullers have a good claw profile - slender and sharp in side view means you can drive the claws under the nails with a minimum of effort. Some pullers out there have rather blunt profiles which means more work and more damage.
