Product Description All automatic wire strippers should be this easy to use! Set the strip length, insert a wire, squeeze the handles, and you're finished. Multiple conductors may be stripped at one time for consistency, and a convenient wire cutter is featured below the stripping jaws. Works with 10 to 20 AWG stranded or solid wire. Tension may be adjusted via a top mounted knurled thumb screw. Strip length may be set between 3/16" to 7/8" (5 to 23 mm). Licensed by Elcontrol S.P.A. Italy. Patent U.S.A. No. 4366730, Patent Taiwan No. 25333.

Great for automotive, but not for house wiring December 7, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As a former car stereo/alarm installer, these have been the best strippers I've used. One reason is because under the dash, there are many times you have so little room to work with. These strippers will grab the tip of the wire and strip it off with ease. That means if you have almost no clearance, you can still strip the wire. And you can also strip multiple wires of the same size at the same time by just lining them up inside the jaws and squeeze away.
This stripper is not good for very thick wires (I'm talking 10 gauge or thicker) or very thin wires as it can easily take some extra strands off the thin wire. However, any good installer will have more than one wire stripper to do a specific job. This stripper is definitely one that should be included in your toolbox.
Don't even think of trying to strip solid wire (i.e. home wiring) with this stripper. It's only good for stranded wire.
It's pretty close to magic. August 13, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought one a long time ago and could not believe how it functioned, but I've carried it on every wire stripping job, from 8-ga to 22-ga challenges, and it has stripped them all equally well. Saves me a ton of time and I love avoiding old-school wire stripping methods.

They work if.... July 19, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
They are adjusted properly. They have a tension adjuster and if it's not set right it will just cut your wire right off rather then just strip it.
A good little tool to have, but not a replacement to your regular wire strippers.
