| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This high-quality ratcheting crimp tool is designed to crimp and cut quickly the wires of the EZ-RJ45 Connector; it will also work on most other RJ-11, RJ-12 and RJ-45 connectors (excluding AMP). Precision ground crimp dies and the full-cycle ratcheting mechanism guarantee that the Crimp Tool's straight action cut and crimp will perform consistent terminations every time.

The Best Tool ever made for man!!!! July 5, 2008 It make putting the end on the RJ45 CAT6.... I have never had a easy way to do it!!!!
Great Product but be carfuel with Cat 6 September 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this product but we've had issues lately with Cat 6. Maybe 1 in 10 ends doesn't get crimped properly. I initially thought it was a quality issue with the ends but its the crimper itself. I've contacted the manufacturer of the product and they told us they had heard of the issue before so they gave us 2 in exchange.
Great product but be careful with Cat 6.
Disagree with previous review June 30, 2006 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I've used this product for about 2 years and I've made a zillion cables. Since I've started using it, my failure/mis-wiring rate is probably 1 in 25 cables. With traditional crimpers, my failure/mis-wiring was more like 1 in 8.
I disagree with the prior post because it implies that using this tool requires one to straighten out the ends of the wire. That's not accurate because you have to straighten the ends for ALL crimpers.
Last point, there is a $10 cheaper version which requires you to cut the wire ends with a dyke. Spend teh extra $10 and buy this item.
The end pieces themselves are more expensive with this item but it is so much faster!
Tool Is Great, Connectors So-So March 14, 2006 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
The tool works exactly as it should, simultaneously crimping the RJ45 connector and cutting the wires in front of the connector. However, be warned: the "ez" connectors require precise positioning of each wire as you feed them in. You really have to work at straightening the wires so that they will lay flat and insert all at the same time.
