The Best! September 7, 2008 These are the thickest most absorbent towels I've ever experienced. They are oversized, too. Don't hesitate to buy them, especially if you see them on sale. Buy lots because you won't want to use anything else.
Sooo nice September 6, 2008 Everything that's been said about these towels is true. They're extremely heavy, thick, and absorbent, in gorgeous colors. I purchased the Marine and love it.
A note on the comparison to Restoration Hardware towels, though. I had the good fortune of renting an apartment for six months that came furnished with Restoration Hardware towels. I would say that these towels are both larger and heavier. However, the details of their appearance isn't quite as nice. The edge stitching is a little messier, with terry loops being caught in the edges. Also, I'd say that the loops are a bit nubbier, with less of a sheen than the Restoration Hardware towels, giving them slightly less of a "luxury" look. The color of the washcloth did bleed a little at first, too.
However, I got them for the amazing price of $6.50 per towel (yikes!) with a 4-for-3 deal. So essentially about 6 towels for the price of one RH towel. Wow! I'd say they're certainly worth even the $19.99 they're currently charging.
Thin, not luxery towels September 6, 2008 I bought a set of Hotel Collection Turkish towels at TJ Maxx and love them and wanted more than what they had at TJ Maxx. I bought the Pinzon towels thinking they would be as nice or nicer. The difference is night and day. The Pinzon towels are thin, not very soft and the colors are dull. I don't know how they claim to be 820 weight since they are lighter than a 700 gram weight towel. The Pinzon towels are not as described, but are inferior--like Martha Stewart towels.
Luxurious and Large! September 3, 2008 I purchased one of the bath sheets in sand after looking at various big name retailers. I'm sincerely impressed so far. It seems to be of high quality construction. The sheet hasn't gone through the wash many times yet, so I can't speak to the long term quality, but I suspect it will hold up nicely.
A couple things to consider. First, the towel is huge! I have other bath sheets and this one dwarfs them all. I fold it over once to fit on my towel rack. Also, the towel is fairly heavy. The best word to describe it is "plush".
After using this one, I purchased the hand towels and a regular bath towel for my wife. We love them so far!
If you buy the bath sheet, have a sturdy hook to hang it on August 31, 2008 Boy these are nice. They are huge, heavy, soft, and are very good quality. I've never seen this type of quality at any department store. Make sure you have a strong towel hook if you buy the bath sheet, it's huge!
