The Westinghouse Contempra Trio fan is one of Westinghouse's "Hugger" series of fans, which are specially designed for rooms with low ceilings, as these fans do not hang down from the ceiling as far as ordinary fans do.The Contempra Trio is a 42-inch, five-blade ceiling fan. The blades are reversible, and are rosewood on one side with bird's eye maple on the other. Both match nicely with the fan's brushed nickel finish. The fan includes a three-light lighting kit with the three lights creating a triangular pattern beneath the center of the fan and providing welcome light when necessary; the globes are frosted glass. 42-inch fans are best suited for medium-sized rooms such as recreation rooms, living rooms, or a children's bedroom but can be used for larger rooms.  Westinghouse ceiling fan/light October 28, 2008
This product required 80 minutes installation time by a professional, and one of the glass globes arrived broken. Otherwise, it seems to work well.
 Waste of time October 17, 2008
The fan definitely looks great at a decent price. After spending over 4 hours to fix it and get it to run, I found out that it makes noise while running.
The manual says - leave it on for 24 hours for the bearings to settle and the noise to go away. So, We left the fan on for more than 24 hrs, but the noise didnot go away. The light fixture was defective as well. One of the 3 glass holders wouldnt fit in!!!
I finally gave up and spent another 1 hour to take it out. Replaced it with another one I bought at lowes for the same price. After spending another 4 hours, we fixed the new one and it works like a charm.
Such a waste of my time!!!
 Great fan- looks stylish and works quietly August 24, 2008
I ordered this fan for my daughter's room(12x12). It was perfect for a smaller bedroom. very easy to use(the fan/light pulls are actually labeled!). I installed in myself in a couple of house. Directions were great. Love it!

This product just as it said it would be. It was very easy to put up too. It only takes decorative lights and at first I thought I wouldn't like that, but its PLENTY of light and it looks a lot nicer than those big bulbs that my other ceiling fans had. I will be purchasing more of these for the rest of my house.
 Exceeded expectation August 9, 2008
After reading the reviews I expected to have problems with the fan - not so! A friend with expertise in electronics put up the fan without a problem (we did have to get wall screws-832-instead of wood screws that came with the fan) other than that is was a breeze - pun intended!
