The Nutmeg Bed is a great choice for the contemporary room. Its flared legs and curved-slat styling are a current classic. Available in Cherry, Natural, and Dark Chocolate finishes. The rails, footboard, and slat support system are constructed of solid rubberwood. The plantation-raised, kiln-dried rubberwood used in this design is very dense and the hand-rubbed finish yields a piece that is both sturdy and ultra smooth to the touch. Rubberwood is an eco-friendly alternative to conventional hardwoods that still maintains resistance to shrinking, warping, and cracking; as well as having a scratch resistance and hardness similar to more conventional hardwoods. This bed is designed to be used with or without a box spring depending on the particular "platform look" you are trying to achieve. The bed also comes with the patented ThumNut assembly system allowing for easy set-up and has a Limited 10-year Manufacturer's Warranty. This bed is available in Twin, Full, Queen and Eastern King. This bed uses a standard Twin, Full, Queen, and Eastern King sized mattress and an optional box spring. You can also purchase a 2-Drawer Understorage unit (sold as different packages, see the link below in the accessory section or go to our Amazon seller storefront to see all the options). Purchase two 2-drawer-units for four total drawers, two on each side of your bed; both options come with a footboard to hide the drawers when they are stored.
