Amazon.com Product Description Omron's HJ-150 Hip Pedometer is a great motivational tool to track your steps as you walk your way through the day, and towards greater fitness. The small device's simple operation is perfect for walking beginners, and it's a great tool to help you achieve a healthier, more active lifestyle. Whether your goal is to maintain or improve overall health, lose weight or get more energy in your daily life, physical activity is essential to staying healthy. The sleek and small HJ-150 simply clips to your belt before you head out for a walk. Or, wear it throughout your busy day to find out just how much walking you're doing in a typical day of work, errands, and play. Note that the HJ-150 must be positioned correctly; it must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function accurately. The device counts your steps and then saves the information for up to seven days, letting you review a full week of exercise. The HJ-150 resets its internal step counter at midnight automatically so it's ready to go every morning. An easy-to-read large display also features a clock so you've always got a timepiece at your side. The HJ-150 is powered by a replaceable lithium battery (CR2032) that will last approximately one year when used for walking 10,000 steps a day. | Compare Omron Pedometers | | HJ-150 | HJ-151 | HJ-112 | HJ-720ITC | | Measurement | | - Steps

Omron Pedometer is one of the best for what I need. November 22, 2008 This model of the Omron pedometer suits my needs exceptionally well. I had one that I lost, and wanted to replace it with the same model. Not only does it eliminate counting the "inadvertent" steps (walking across the room, wasling from the desk to the light switch, etc.), it keeps the current day and 7 previous days in memory. You can wear it in a number of places on your waistband or pocket, and the count is exceptionally accurate. If you only need to track steps taken, this is a fantastic model.
Works great. Very easy to use and very accurate. November 11, 2008 Great product. The cheapy ones are not for anyone serious. This device is easy to use and keeps a daily record. The clip works well on anything I wear.
Good Basic with extras November 10, 2008 I bought this pedometer based on the other reviews. After using it for a month I have to say I have been very pleased with it. It keeps 7 days of steps, which is nice since I do not always remember to record my steps every day. It also has a clock, which is nice for those of us who have problems wearing watches (something about my chemistry or electrical charge- I can kill a watch after just a month of wearing them, even expensive watches). It is dead on as far as actually recording steps. I have tested it time and time again and I have yet to be disappointed. A warning on reading the steps, it will start recording after the first 4 seconds of movements to avoid false readings. That threw me off at first until I read the directions again and found out that was normal. It is also very sturdy, since I have dropped it at least 4 times with no problems. I have had it slip off maybe 3 times, and I wear it everyday. This problem is easily solved. On the top of the clip is a small hole. Just thread a piece of string through the hole, tie it in a knot with some of the string hanging off in a loop and pin to your waistband with a safety pin. It cost about 10 cents and is less bulky then the leashes they sale.
cons: *bulky- it stick out more then I would like under my shirt. *no calorie counter- oh well, still a great pedometer. *awkward to read- the digital part faces out, so it is hard to look down and read how many steps you have taken at any given time. It is not enough to cause problems, it is just a quirk of mine.
The only thing I really do not like is its bulk. It is about as thick as Sharpie marker cap. I ordered another, thinner pedometer, but I will still use this one on occasion when my shirt is tucked in.
Stepping Out October 29, 2008 The Omron HJ-150 is by far the best pedometer I have purchased and the easiest to use. I wear it all the time.
Pedometer October 28, 2008 Works . Fairly accurate. I got it for my wife, but she forgets to wear it. If mine breaks I'll use this one. I like the time feature and the 7 day look back.
