Amazon.com As the daylight lingers longer each day, the more carnivorous folk start salivating in anticipation. Barbecue season approaches, liberating meat lovers from the less-flavorful pan-fried steak or bland poached chicken breasts. Likewise, the vegetarians in the family rejoice in the prospect of grilled summer squash or roasted beets and corn, rather than settling for another head of iceberg lettuce and canned beans. For juicy burgers and veggie kabobs at home or at the lake, industry leader Weber offers their portable Q-100 gas grill. The propane grill employs an 8,500-BTU stainless-steel burner to heat its 189-square-inch cooking area. Weber crafted the grill's lid and body in tough cast aluminum with a sturdy glass-reinforced nylon frame. The grill ignites at the push of a button for reliable lighting, and an infinitely adjustable burner valve with a high-quality regulator makes it easy to control the heat. Meat sizzles on the porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates, while drippings follow the drip ducts to reduce potential flare-ups and enable quicker cleaning. Other highlights include a flavorizer system integrated into the cooking grate, a removable catch pan, and a large weather-resistant lid handle. The grill operates on a standard 14.1- or 16.4-ounce propane cylinder. Propane does not come included, but Weber does enclose a Weber Q cookbook of recipes and inspiration. The grill measures 16 by 27 by 23-1/2 inches with the lid open and carries a five-year limited warranty. --Jessica Reuling

Real Customer Service November 13, 2008 I've had the BabyQ for just under two years. Regulator quit working. Called Weber Customer Service after recorded message played I waited about 12 seconds and a real LIVE person was on the line with me and she spoke ENGLISH! Replacement was sent and was received within 7 days.
How come some companies get 'customer service' and others don't have a clue?
Buy Weber, you can't go wrong.
Excellent little grill - Cooks evenly, like a full-size November 11, 2008 Aside from being the best looking portable grill I saw, this Weber cooks like a full-size grill. Most of the portable grills I've had over the years used flimsy wire racks, whereas this model has a cast-iron cooking grate (that weighs as much as the entire rest of the grill!).
As long as you let the grill warm up properly (so the big grate gets hot), you will get the same results that a full-size grill will produce. When I moved recently, I started using this model as my only grill, and, so far, I have no desire to get a full-size, as this one is just as good.
Fantastic little BBQ October 19, 2008 What a great little BBQ. SO easy to put together, use and have fun with. We have only tried this grill 3 times so far, but I have to say that it greatly exceeds our expectations. For one thing I am very surprised that the gas lasts as long as it does, so far we are still going on our first little tank, and we have grilled quite a bit of food already. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a small compact yet great quality BBQ. This is a Weber - how could you go wrong?
Weber Baby Q October 12, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The only reason for the four stars is the size of the grill, otherwise I am very please with this product. It get's hot enough for steaks and is easy to clean. Easy to light and cools off quickly.
Weber Q-100 October 3, 2008 I bought the Weber Q-100 for my son. He loves it. He has an appartment while in college and says it is great. I'm thinking about getting one to replace our larger grill.
