The three kitchen towels in this set are each different to ensure that drying dishes never gets boring. Woven of 100-percent cotton in a thick 'popcorn' texture, the towels offer excellent absorbency and easy care. Simply toss a dirty one in the washing machine. The set is an economical way to keep a steady supply on hand, and makes a great housewarming gift. thick towels, nice in fall and winter colors. I gave some away as gifts and enjoy the freshness of new towels in my own kitchen.

I guess since they are new absorption is slow.
Don't add bleach because the light brown towels that I bought turned pink.
Lucky for me it was just two and not the two sets that I bought.
The patterns work great..I'm happy !

Nice towels, the quality looks good. I only gave 3 stars because I would have gladly paid more to get towels made in the USA. Somehow I missed that these are made in China. (I try to avoid buying anything from China.) I haven't actually used the towels yet, as I plan to wash them thoroughly several times first.
Great towels for the money. September 24, 2008
I bought these when they were priced at $5.99 w/free delivery but I think they are worth even full price. They are absorbent, durable and come in a good range of colors that match up well to my kitchen.

The purpose of a towel is to absorb water. These towels just glide over the water. They are advertised as "cotton." If these towels are cotton, they must have a Teflon coating.
