Tried two units and got same problem September 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got this unit from Vann's and A deck (play, not record deck)stopped working after about three weeks. Vann's (great place) replaced it. Second unit worked for about two months and then A deck went again. Enough said.
does the job well August 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
would rather buy a good 3 head deck like the old days, but this does what I need it to do, play a bunch of old cassettes. Sounds good
Just what I wanted July 23, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I needed a replacement for a cassette player/recorder that I had used for 10 years. It was old and deterorating and needed to be retired. Your item was exactly what I wanted and it responded precisely as I wished. The price was certainly the best I found. Thank you
NEED A TAPE DECK July 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Onkyo TARW255 Dual well Tape Deck The deck was a little larger than I expected. I tried hooking to my computer but didn't get a good copy on my computer using VISTA media copy. I hooked this deck to my home sound system and found that my old cassette tapes produced excellent sound with this player. With the dual deck and auto reverse my copy idea was replaced by listening to my old cassettes on my good sound system. I am pleased with the player.
WORST ELECTRONICS EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! July 10, 2008 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Horrible deck coupled with atrocious service. Within the first month, it ceased working and Onkyo told me it was a problem of theirs. Thankfully, instead of having to mail it at my expense to an authorized repair center, Amazon exchanged the deck. Two months later, same problem. Customer service was cold, clearly not interested in my problem and handed me the standard answer. Now I have have to pay $20 or more to ship a deck that cost me a bit over $100. I would never buy an Onkyo product again. This could not have been a worse experience, and waste of money. Just horrible!
