Amazon.com Review Maintain wide distribution of fertilizer while reducing the necessary time, energy, and fertilizer to cultivate an attractive, even lawn with this broadcast spreader from Illinois-based Agri-Fab. Whereas other types of spreaders often result in overlap or missed strips, creating a line effect on lawns, this broadcast spreader distributes fertilizer in a random spray pattern to cover a width of 8 to 10 feet. The broadcast coverage nurtures more natural, uniform grass growth, while limiting the needed fertilizer for an extra ecological benefit. Designed for towing behind a tractor, the spreader also can be used for grass seed or ice melt in large open areas. The broadcast spreader is crafted with a 1/2-inch tubular steel frame. Fertilizer or seed are loaded into a polyethylene hopper that resists rust, corrosion, and weather damage for long-lasting use. Accommodating approximately 85 pounds, this broadcast spreader is best equipped for use in yards and spaces 14,200 square feet or smaller. The spreader features a Delirn gear drive type. The spreader is towed on two 10-by-4 pneumatic tires with 1/2-inch diameter tubular steel axles. While the broadcast spreader provides excellent distribution of fertilizer and is a good choice for spreading seed and ice melt, Agri-Fab strongly discourages its use for powder lime. This USA-made broadcast spreader is designed for towing only and cannot be converted for manual pushing. This product may be covered by a limited one-year warranty. Upon shipping, the broadcast spreader measures 21-1/2 by 24-1/2 by 19-1/4 inches and weighs 17 pounds. --Jessica Reuling

Flimsy Toy April 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used the Agri Fab Broadcaster today to put down Turfbuilder with halts. It worked good for about 100 feet, then the fertilizer stopped coming out. I tried several times, but after driving for a while, I would look back and nothing was coming out. I am going to buy a real broadcaster now. You get what you pay for.
agri fab spreader November 1, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recieved fast shipment. The unit needed a longer cable to work with my mower for an aditional $12.oo. The rotating wiper is not long enough to keep product from cloging. I am not all that happy with spreader.
works very well October 16, 2007 i used this spreader to spread granulated pesticide and it does a good even job. plus it is lightweight and easy to use.
Cheaper to buy local May 12, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
could have bought same product for around 40.00 dollars cheaper locally than on amazon. Products are extreamely over priced.

Not worth taking home, too much to pay for something that won't work properly.
