Amazon.com Review Ideal for the chemically sensitive or those with small children, the Bissell Steam Mop deep-cleans hard-surface floors using the power of pure water alone. No harsh (or expensive) cleaners means no fumes or residues to irritate lungs or muddy delicate finishes, while the use of hot steam rather than buckets of water leaves floors dry in just seconds. Heated and ready to use in 30 seconds, the remarkably quiet mechanism works something like an iron: steam is dispensed on demand, rather than continuously, by pressing the trigger while passing the mop over the floor. Hot steam easily removes hardened and sticky gunk, especially if the mop sits over the mess for a few seconds. (Leave it in place 15 seconds to actually sanitize the cleaning surface.) The machine steams for approximately 15 minutes before the tank needs to be refilled, but there's no lag once you refill it. The Steam Mop's low-profile 360-degree swiveling head accesses hard-to-reach nooks and crannies, like under kitchen cabinets, while its compact profile stores easily in small spaces. Other thoughtful design touches include a quick-release cord wrap and easy-carry handle, as well as a built-in water filter to protect from the minerals and impurities in hard water. (An indicator lets users know when the filter need to be replaced.) Durable, reusable microfiber pads are safe on all sealed hard surfaces and clean up nicely in the washing machine, making them more environmentally friendly than disposable options. Measuring 6 by 11 by 45-1/2 inches, the Bissell Steam Mop weighs less than 7 pounds and is covered by a one-year limited warranty.--Mary Park

Buy One Now! September 6, 2008 I don't know how I managed before this great gadget came along! It does a great job on my textured tile floors. I use mine a couple times a week!
What I love: > The water heats up quickly > No detergents > No streaks > The steam gets up sticky stuff > Gets in all the nooks and crannies and in the grout lines > The pads are machine washable and go through the wash great > Clean pads mean I'm never cleaning my floor with a dirty mop > It's pretty lightweight > The floors dry quickly > Pretty inexpensive > Takes less than 2 minutes to assemble it when you first get it
What would make it even better: > A longer cord > A retractable cord
Better than the rest!! September 6, 2008 I have used a number of steam mops and I love my Bissell Steam Mop!!! I can't say it enough. It is light, easy to handle, and produces just the right amount of steam. Heats uo fast. The cloth pads are very easy to off , wash, and put back on. This is the best steam mop ever! Also love the color!!!!

Steaming's a breeze September 6, 2008 This is my second Bissell steam mop. The first one lasted about five years and gave out from constant use. That's great for a product this day and age. I rely on my Bissell steam mop to not only clean but disinfect my tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom without chemical use.
easy to use September 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
simple to use, seems to do a good job, leaves some water on the floor but not too bad
Better than expected. September 5, 2008 Good bye swifter wet jet and helllooo Bissell steam mop. No more throwing $ away buying all those expensive refills pads and solution bottles. Was hoping to get an adequate clean using the hot water, but what I got was years of ground in dirt that lifted itself from every crack and crevice in my linoleum floors. Highly impressed, but suggest you buy more pads as they do require more frequent changes in order to leave the mop on the floor long enough for it to do a good job. Go "green" with this machine and throw them in the washer when you're done.
