Product Description
Bondable PTFE sheet is etched on one side. (Polytetrafluoroethylene) Sometimes known as Teflon, it has established itself as a tough, durable polymer, possessing a unique combination of electrical, chemical, mechanical and thermal properties unmatched by any other single substance. Maximum operating temperature -350 degrees to 500 degrees F . This material should not be heated to temperatures above 752 degrees F (400 degrees C). Thicknesses (0.015 inches, 0.030 inches and 0.060 inches) are available. Sheets are etched on one side to make them bondable to other materials with most general purpose epoxies. Our stock sizes are cut from rolls and the material may be slightly curved, but it can easily be flattened by applying pressure to the whole surface.

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Bad quality   October 9, 2006
This product is of poor quality. Box arrived in pristine shape, but upon opening I discovered this made no difference as it had been badly mistreated prior to shipping (it had to have been, with the way it was packed). Dents, creases, nicks, scratches and some strange residue coating the non-bonded side. Box and product smelt like cigarette smoke--I would say this is the shippers fault, but I've never had the problem before. One part almost has a hole through it with a big black spot, making that part unusable. I could swear it's not as smooth as other teflon I've bought, but that's probably just because it's so dented and bent (no, I'm not mistaking the bondable side for the smooth side--that difference is quite obvious). The wood grain texture also looks really bad--nothing like wood, more like blotched blech. If you need cheap, thick teflon for something that's going to be abused, I suppose this might be alright, but if you're

On the upside, shipping was fast and it was packed well. If they had just put a good (or at least well treated) product in, it would've been great!
