Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
  • Holds up to 150 lbs leaving only a pin size hole!
  • Installs easily by hand
  • Great for mirrors, pictures, shelves and more

The Hercules Hook is the easiest way to hang pictures, mirrors, shelves just about anything. Hercules Hooks are easy to install just twist, push and turn! No more drilling or pounding to try to find a stud - No more damaged walls! The reinforced steel design provides the muscle to hang and hold up to 150 lbs. Great for plaster, drywall or paneling. Twist, Push, Turn. Pick a point on the wall where you want the bottom of the hook to sit. Then, measure 1/4" directly above that point and set the tip there. Next, with firm forward pressure, twist the hook back and forth (like a key) until you have chiseled through the wall. Now turn the Hercules Hook upward and push completely into the wall until only the hook is exposed.

    1 out of 5 stars Disappointed   August 27, 2008
I was a little disappointed when I purchased this product. I mainly bought them when I had to hang my very heavy mirror. I got the hook in the wall, but then could not turn it where I could anchor it to hang the mirror on it. They give you a lot of these hooks in the pack, but now these hooks just sit in my drawer since I cannot use them. I loved the idea of having a laser marker to hang my pictures straight!

4 out of 5 stars Great and easy to use!!   August 19, 2008
I was able to hang all my large pictures on the wall all by myself, except for where there was something in the way of the wall like in my bathroom but the rest of the areas worked.

4 out of 5 stars Surprised: Hooks worked as promised.   August 10, 2008
Generally I don't expect much from "As seen on TV" products. I expected the hooks to be difficult to push in. I was prepared to use a drill to start the hole if I needed to. The hooks worked as promised. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the "free" laser level did not come on when I put new batteries in it, not that I really needed it. Even without the laser level it was a good deal.

4 out of 5 stars Hooks are Hooks   July 16, 2008
The hooks work well and are easy to use. The free Laser Marker is free, thats about it. I bought 2 packages of hooks and both laser markers had problems. One of them was not level and the other one the laser line was to fat. So the added bonus of the laser marker is useless. That is why they only got 4 stars because I don't consider the item as discribed.

1 out of 5 stars Painful Hooks   May 15, 2008

My boyfriend and I just moved to an apartment and we thought using these hooks would cause less damage to the walls. WRONG! They were hard to get into the walls by twisting "Like a key." My boyfriend got blisters from putting a few in the walls. At one point we decided to move something from one side of the wall to the other and when we took out the hook, it left a pretty big hole, definitely not pin size! Overall, I think these things suck! Should have just used nails...
