Great flatware! Takes a beating! January 9, 2009 We've have two of this set (Service for 16) for over 6 years now and they're still in good shape. Let me tell you, we are heavy duty eaters here! They get used daily and also at frequent large family gatherings. The utensils have held up against being used as tools, run through the dishwasher hundreds of times, lost in the disposal and they are still able to shovel food into our mouths! Sure, some of the spoons and forks have gotten bent when abused but they straighten right up with a tweak or two. The stiff knife blades will cut right through a steak. They've got a nice heft to them that gives you confidence that your food will make it to your mouth without the fork bending. People who have complained that these are 18/0 and not 18/10 Stainless are lame. For this use 18/0 is more than adequate (I'm an engineer so there!) They've never rusted. They are not as shiny after being abused for six year but that has nothing to do with the type of steel. AND...they are a great deal at Amazon!
Still going... January 9, 2009 I've had this flatware set for 16 years now and I still love it. Nice, understated contemporary look. Good quality.
Great everyday flatware! January 8, 2009 I've had this flatware for 5 years. It's a great set, sturdy and practical (no weird three-pronged forks). It matches well with a variety of dishes. I use fiestaware mostly, and it looks good with that, but it would also match well with white china or other more formal dishes.
If you buy this, I'd suggest buying the matching steak knives if you can find them. The knives it comes with are great for spreading and most uses, but don't cut meats very well. The steak knives are excellent and blend in perfectly.
And from all of the reviews written by people who have had sets a long time, it looks like the Flight pattern will be around a while, so it will be easy to buy sets to expand on what you have.
Beautiful and durable flatware December 22, 2008 I have had this set for about 12 years and have always liked the style and quality. I recently purchased a second set so I had more flatware when company came over. This is a very durable and sturdy set of flatware. I have only one minor complaints. The problem I discovered is that in the new set the knives are slightly different. The old style has thicker, curvier handles while the new style has flatter handles. Even though the knives don't match I must admit I like the newer, flatter style better. Great for everyday use.
Beautiful! October 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For the price, I didn't expect very much, but trusted the Oneida brand, so I went ahead and ordered a set that I planned on using day-to-day. When this set of utensils arrived, I was happily surprised by the quality and sytle. I plan on buying another set so I'll have enough for additional guests.
