Scaled down in size, this child's dinnerware set from Portmeirion's A Christmas Story collection makes meals especially festive for little merry-makers. The set includes a bowl, a plate, and a two-handled mug, all designed to coordinate with the larger collection or stand on their own. Detailed storybook images inspired by "T'was the Night Before Christmas" decorate the pieces inside and out. And the verses from the famous poem most relevant to kids--the ones that describe them with "visions of sugarplums"--are written on the dishes in a pretty script. Crafted from fine translucent porcelain, the dishes are substantial in weight yet manageable for small hands, and they are safe in the dishwasher, oven, and microwave. Just what I expected, cute and matches the set perfectly. I only rated it four stars because I think it's a tad over priced, as is the whole series in my opinion.
Amazon is definitely the best price though!
