I have had this vacuum for over 2 and a half years. I have only had to change the bags. This is a fabulous vacuum and I should know, I have had quite a few that have gone to vacuum heaven. It did clog up once with something I did not see, but it was not hard to undo the hose, unclog it, and put it back together. I have not even had to change the belt. The bags can be purchased at the huge "W" store for about 3 bucks for three or 7 bucks for 3 of the allergen prevention ones. The only drawback is when using the attachment with the hose that could be longer. For the price and durability of this vaccum, I would buy another one of these in a heartbeat! I thank Bissell for making a durable easy to use product. For all the money I have spent in vacuums over the years, I could have purchased about 12 of these!!

I have very pleased with this vacuum cleaner! With 2 young kids and 1 cat, I wanted something with a lot of suction and that is what I got! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the bags are expensive and hard to find and the attachment hose could be longer. Besides those 2 points, it's a nice vacuum with lots of power without all the 'fluff'!

Just received it today. Set up was a snap and it handled like a dream-lightweight and good consistent suction.
While it looks like a toy and doesn't really have any special features, it seems to get the job done. It effortlessly cleaned my carpets and seating which were embedded with cat hair. The best part was I didn't have an allergy attack like usual when I clean. While I was willing to spend up to $600. for a vacuum, it was hard to find a very light one with attachments. This fits the bill, literally, and its quite a savings. Hope it holds up over the long haul.

I was looking for a hardworking easy to use no frills unit and was sick of bagless ones that didn't work. We are very satisfied. The bags I did have to order over the net, but got a pack of 10 so should be set for a while. It has a long cord too. Well worth the price! I searched and searched and could not find it cheaper than Amazon.

Worst of the lot- after ONE WEEK was spitting out more than it was taking in. The bags I had to order ONLINE only and paid $25 shipping for 3 pks. of bags!! RETURNED IT!
