Created by artist Susan Winget for Portmeirion, these four A Christmas Story salad/dessert plates have a festive mood and versatile construction. Bright and detailed, each plate features imagery and verses from the Clement C. Moore poem "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." A border of holly and a dark red rim complete the plates' festive effect. Series 2 in the pattern, this set features these verses: "Then in a twinkling I heard on the roof/The prancing and pawing of each little hoof," and "As I drew in my head and was turning around/Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound." Crafted from fine translucent porcelain, the plates are substantial in weight and safe in the dishwasher, oven, and microwave. They measure 8 inches in diameter. The plates match the set we have and now allow our growing family to all use the same christmas plates at the same time.. what a wonderful tradition
