This is probably one of the prettiest pieces I have in my Christmas China. It is also a very useful piece. I love it!!!! It could be given as a gift to someone who does not even have A Christmas Story as a china pattern. It is a great dish to use when you are taking something to a covered dish over the holidays.

I was very disappointed. The platter is made in China and the quality is not up to expectations of a Portmeirion plate.The real origin of this item was not specified in the description.
Furthermore, at the back of the plate it reads translucent porcelaine,it's not translucent at all.
