Designed especially for the Thanksgiving season, Countryside Harvest tableware includes such novelty accessories as these two salt and pepper shakers sculpted in the shape of resting turkeys. Each is identical except for the number of holes-two on the top of one, three on the other, leaving it up to you which will contain salt and which pepper. Glazed creamy white with coppery highlights for an antiqued look, the glossy stoneware shakers perfectly complement the Countryside Harvest turkey platter and turkey-shaped gravy boat. Leaf-shaped plates also add to the autumnal feel of the pattern. Made of durable stoneware, which is safe for use in the oven, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher, these turkey-shaped shakers will mostly like only need to go in the latter. As with most dinnerware, sudden temperature changes should be avoided to prevent breakage. Plastic plugs underneath each shaker remove for filling. --Ann Bieri
