Very Nice and High Quality for the price December 17, 2008 This is a very nice tea set. You will get 2 cups and saucers although the picture only shows one. It feels delicate but in fact seems to be quite strong so I don't think it will break too easily. It is great looking - especially for the price. There are nicer ones out there, but they would cost a great deal more.
It's probably my imagination, but it seems like the tea I make using this set tastes better. That speaks to the quality. I think this is something any tea drinker would love and highly recommend it!
Don't let the Waterford name confuse you. December 17, 2008 There's nothing wrong with this teapot set. Its a very affordable little set, its just not Waterford. The glass is uneven in several places and it just looks cheap, which it was.
Three pieces of ours arrived broken, so thats not nice. UPS has never been the kindest to packages. The teapot itself is surrounded in a lot of foam. Don't know what happened.
All and all, its fine for what it is. It makes tea. It gives the general appearance of elegance, but really, its a cheap teapot.
Lovely enough for the china cabinet, strong enough for daily use! December 15, 2008 This tea set is very beautiful. The glass looks delicate and the design is very lovely. I was amazed that it is also strong and can be used in the microwave. The rose top adds a nice touch to the tea pot and it is very easy to use to make a great cup of tea. It is lovely enough for the china cabinet and strong enough for everyday use. I highly recommend it!
very elegant December 12, 2008 this tea pot is exceptional. It is delicate, but microwavable safe. The diffuser has tiny slits in it so even the smallest of loose tea does not come through. The beautiful design really shows through with the tea in it. I drink tea all the time and this is really something else. For some reason, tea always tastes better from a pot like this. It is very lightweight, so you can pour with one hand, even if you have hand issues. The cups and saucers are equally beautiful. I actually purchased this to give as a Christmas gift for a cousin. If you like your tea, and like it in an elegant but casual fashion, this is for you. I am a very down to earth person but occasionaly I like to sit down, on a cold day and drink tea in an old fashioned garden party way. Please order this if you are looking for a great teapot. You will not be sorry.
wonderful December 12, 2008 i drink tea all day. this pot is very delicate and beautiful. the diffuser is great for loose tea and the slits are very small, so there is very little chance of loose tea falling into the water. it is very lightweight and classy, reminiscent of an old time garden party. for me, tea always tastes better in crystal and this waterford is perfect for tea. i have used it about 20 times so far and it is wonderful. the rose design is delicate. the cups are great and the saucers are elegant. if you are looking for a delicate pot, that is elegant and functional, this is it.
